According to reports, female Afghan lawmaker Maryam Koofi was injured following an attack by gunmen in capital Kabul.

The incident reportedly took place Arya Township late Tuesday night. The main motive behind the attack is not clear so far.

Ms. Koofi was taken to hospital following the attack and her health condition is reported to be stable.

The security officials have not commented regarding the incident yet.
